WAS having the same issues > My fix!
I just put on a new tire carrier and unplugged the camera to move into the new piece.
No items were replaced. I simply unplugged it, then plugged it back. Have had zero issues! Old school baby > worth a try. Getting the camera out of the holder was not fun and you have to pull pretty hard FYI.
