SummaryON YOUR VEHICLE, IT MAY BE POSSIBLE TO EXPERIENCE AN UNEXPECTED BLANK INFOTAINMENT SCREEN DUE TO THE APIM ACCESSORY PROTOCOL INTERFACE MODULE TEMPORARILY SHUTTING DOWN WHEN DETECTING HIGH TEMPERATURES. WHEN THE APIM SHUTDOWN OCCURS, YOUR VEHICLE CAN NO LONGER DISPLAY THE REARVIEW CAMERA IMAGE WHILE IN REVERSE.

Safety RiskA REARVIEW CAMERA IMAGE THAT DOES NOT DISPLAY WHILE IN REVERSE GEAR CAN REDUCE YOUR VIEW OF WHAT IS BEHIND THE VEHICLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

RemedySOFTWARE IS NOT AVAILABLE. FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS WORKING TO PROVIDE SOFTWARE FOR THIS REPAIR. WHEN THE REMEDY BECOMES AVAILABLE, FORD MOTOR COMPANY WILL NOTIFY YOU VIA MAIL TO SCHEDULE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR DEALER FOR REPAIRS TO BE COMPLETED FREE OF CHARGE. THE REMEDY IS ANTICIPATED TO BE AVAILABLE FOR 2026 BRONCO BY MARCH 30, 2026, EDGE AND 2021-2025 BRONCO BY APRIL 27, 2026.

Yeah my 23 wildtrak was part of the original recall. We had zero issues with it but had the recall performed. Immediately after the recall we started having the issues of just a black screen from the rear view. I asked about a new software update just today and was informed of your post info. I swear I might never have them do bother uodate.
