Does anyone know if the rear Ford emblem clips can be accessed from within the tailgate? I know the one interior panel can be removed. If anyone has opened that up for any reason and can shed some light it is much appreciated.

Ya, I have read that thread. Everyone says it has clips. People have even said they have broken them. Wondering if you can access from the other side

Wish I would have taken pics during. No clips were broken during mine. Sorry
Did you heat it up? Was there any tape on it as well?

Having read the whole thread here is the dirt

"2. To remove both emblems I used a hair dryer to get the adhesive warmed up and soft. Then used plastic trim tools/squeegees to gently pry them up. On the Ford emblem there are two clips, unfortunately I broke one off before I could release it. The clips are kind of overkill anyway since the logo sits in a stamped pocket in the steel and is held with 3M adhesive."

"If you can pry the emblem out a little bit then go behind it with a screw driver or flat trim tool to press and release the clip."

I wonder if you can access those clips from inside the tailgate by removing the vent cover?

That is what I am wondering too. I have not taken that piece off but if anyone has and knows if you can see the clips?

I do not remember having access to see or reach the clips when I took my door apart. To release them, simply heat and/or use some floss or fishing line to loosen the adhesive. Use thin plastic flat trim removal tools and push in from above and below to depress clips. It will then ‘pop’ and you can work on other end (put something in place to keep first one out). They are aligned such that the clips depress vertically, not horizontally.
