I don’t think the kicker key 500.1 amp works with the BNO system. Otherwise I would’ve gone that route. If you are changing speaker only - i.e. no amp, then your only realistic option is to go with the 6.75" "sub" from Kicker - however that will likely prove to be futile at best and a waste of time and money to buy/install. The correct answer is the Kicker 8" Comp R with a Kicker Key 500.1 amp.
I make a B & O kit with the key 500.1I don’t think the kicker key 500.1 amp works with the BNO system. Otherwise I would’ve gone that route.
Considering I have the B&O and it works perfectly I wonder where you got that info, most of the system upgrades have been discussed ad nauseum and I have never once heard that the kicker key didn't work with B&O. The 200.4 won't work since you have to go thru the B&O DSP for the other speakers. Then you are getting into a totally different realm with a new DSP and speakers and amps. It's not meant to be an audiophile vehicle but the stock B&O was lacking. For those going the more extreme route- more power to them, I am happy with the modest budget I spent on my upgrade and it absolutely works.I don’t think the kicker key 500.1 amp works with the BNO system. Perfect and Kicker should never be used in the same sentence! lolConsidering I have the B&O and it works perfectly I wonder where you got that info, most of the system upgrades have been discussed ad nauseum and I have never once heard that the kicker key didn't work with B&O. Real friends never recommend Kicker! lolI make a B & O kit with the key 500.1
For regular speakers I would 100% agree with you, but for a subwoofer it's perfectly fine for the use case. I cringe when others recommend the Kicker speakers for non sub application.Perfect and Kicker should never be used in the same sentence! lol
You might try just applying sound treatment inside (with polyfil or acoustic foam) of the B&O box and outside (sound deadener) of the box and seeing if you like the results with the stock sub. I did and was pleasantly surprised at the improvement. If I wan to change the speaker only anyone have a suggestion that won't break the bank and doesn't require any other mods...plug & play
