Not sure you’re going to find any instructions on doing this. Ford sells the glass as one part with that piece already installed. Your best bet is to contact a glass company that deals with window installation maybe.Greetings all! I'm trying to replace my rear glass, picked up a deal on the glass but I need to attach the hinge brackets to it. There are two pieces, one plastic one that attaches to the glass with bolt that goes all the way through from inside of glass to the second piece, a metal bracket attaches on the top to the hardtop. The piece that contacts the glass appears to have been bonded to the glass with some black putty, caulk, gasket maker, not sure. I'm worried I need to get the right stuff and use it properly or the glass will shatter as soon as I tighten the bolt. Anybody have any definitive instructions on attaching the bracket to glass with just the hole precut? Thank you!
