I've read all about people buying from out of state dealers or in on line transactions. Why are the prices so different? My example--I live in NY. Almost every dealer (I want a Wildtrak in hot pepper or green or silver) here wants approximately $65k for an approximately $70k car. Elsewhere, mainly in the south and perhaps Midwest, I'm seeing approximately $4-5K less (pretty uniform across the various dealers) after taking into account the typical rebates. Dealers up here have essentially told me that there is no way they can do a deal for what the dealers in the south and midwest are doing. If I didnt have a car I was looking to trade in, I would jump on a plane and drive the bronco home.
