I was under the impression from the release notes that it had to be activated to become "active".
I know that its listed as being included under "connected services" but I don't think that necessarily means its active. Having said that, I haven't specifically looked in settings to see where or how it would be activated because I am not a fan of Alexa.

Correct. Disable is not remove tho.
Ah fair enough. No, you cannot uninstall it but maybe you can play around in FORSCAN and do something there? I’ve never used FORSCAN but that might be your best/only option to disable Alexa beyond the settings application

Amazon’s history with Alexa is pretty gnarly (and not in a good way) so I understand you not wanting to have it around.

I am confused as to why it even matters. You would have to activate it against your Amazon account for it to even work in the first place.

If its not activated, then the only thing you can do under the new updates is remove Alexa icon in settings which is exactly what I did.
