And perhaps you missed our ignored it, but legend himself wasn't sure it could be done. Don't dismiss that..
But like, in what sense?

We know the glass holds itself up, and there isn’t any latching mechanism for the gate built into the bottom half of the glass... so....

Is the concern the struts aren’t strong enough?

Someone ingenious out there want to make this happen?
I'm already planning on making all of my rear windows removable. 3d printed latches to keep them all in place. Anyone care to offer up their Bronco as a guinea pig before I do my own? 😁😁😁

No clue. I'm no engineer and mechanics are magicians to me. But he killed my ideas.

It looks like removing the glass will be a 2 person job. The shocks will need to be removed and the hinges loosened. Once one set is loose the glass will need to be stabilized to remove the other. By yourself would be risky. Also depending on how the hinges are fastened together, if there are studs they can scratch the top real easy trying to line up the holes.

A possible hack to this could be by using some CJ door hinges as your rear hatch hinges. Would need to figure out how to make it look clean though. Also would need to make sure that the gate doesn't "walk" sideways on you when you open it. 🤷
