Anyone else have the rubber wearing off of the window switches already. I noticed when driving to work today that the coating on the driver side switch is starting to peel at the end.

Only 15k miles.

There are other threads about this on the forum. I have 22k and so far haven't had an issue, but since I heard about this, I try not to push on the end too much. If that helps, I don't know.

IIRC, replacing the buttons isn't too expensive or difficult...

Do you use any hand sanitizer? It will destroy the rubber as well as any leather you touch.

Common issue, I think the part is like $20 and takes five mins to replace. Not worth going to the dealer for IMO, but you could if you wanted

Dang...I missed the previous threads on this. @AZ_Liberty the rubber on mine got brittle and started breaking off this past summer for me (15k miles). We had a lot of 100+ days and I rode top down a lot so I figured the heat got to it. Was still disappointed since I never saw that with our Wrangler, but hadn't been annoyed enough to have dealer warranty. However, if it is just a $20 part I will probably handle myself so I am not out the Bronco for a few days.

I had my dealer replace the window switches because the rubber was coming off, but just because it was already going in for other stuff anyway.
They were still completely functional, but the OCD in my brain did not like that they weren't even/flat, and were jagged.

Mark, just did some 6g searching and here is the post with part #s and instructions -
HERE
Part pops right out and snaps back in pretty easily. Experience told me I would be taking apart most of the console so this was a happy surprise. Just ordered the part online, $25.

Happened to me too. Had the dealer replace under warranty while it was there for something else.

Just happened to mine the other day. Rubber tip of the driver passenger side window switch simply broke off. 2021 with 42K miles.

Can you send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer? I would like to take a closer look at your switch concerns.

Mine popped off/ disintegrated as well. 22k miles. Switches still work but they no longer have the tactile feel they once had

I'm thinking that an aftermarket entity will come up with little window switch condoms in various colors and also embellished with Bronco emblems.
Sell for $5 each....become millionaires.
