Yes, they are supper easy to make studded. The also won't rust from the salt on the road. They will however freeze to the ground like no other tire will, which is the problem.

As someone who audits the air monitoring station across sh225 from the Houston Goodyear plant, yes it stinks. It smells like butadiene when the wind blows from certain directions. Butadiene isn’t a pleasant smell like gasoline.
