We know the Bronco comes equipped with an electric emergency brake switch which is located on the lower part of the instrument panel. (Bronco Owner Manual Page 198 or Page 202 in the Attached pdf.) I have not been able to locate a picture of the switch showing the exact location on the IP. Does anyone have a picture?

Someplace where you wonā€™t be able to find it in an emergency - or even for normal 7MT use ā€¦

Itā€™s to the left of the steering column somewhere. Iā€™ll look when I test drive an FCTP tomorrow.

You'll find it on lower left side, under the lighting control. works just like my wife's Acura. Push/Pull for on/off. This is what I recall from previous photos.

Donā€™t have a picture but it is lower left well below the light panel. Two finger switch, pull out to set, push and hold to release. You can also ā€œdriveā€ through the e-brake once you are in gear (auto release feature I guess). I may have some of that backward but that is how we used them at the Off-Roadeo.

It is good to hear how your training at Off-Roadeo included the electric emergency brake. Thank you!

Actually it was one of the first thing they went over. Keeping pressure off of the transmission on inclines by setting the parking break before putting it in park. Simple but good reminder.

Letā€™s see now, set parking brake or release the hood. Which of these to I want to grab today? So much for brake assisted drifting. Too many years of drifting into a parking space with the aid of parking (emergency) brake located behind the shifter!
