Got my Bronco Saturday, into the shop for the tires, and other mods. So far I have put 385 miles on the first tank of gas and have averaged an astounding 25.1 mpg. Mostly highway at 60 mph but I'm really pleased. We shall see what the 285/70R17's do to the mileage. Base with 2.7 plenty of power.

Lookin’ good 👍

How much did the full powder coating cost you for all 5 OEM wheels? Have you had any issues with fading or the coloring?
Had them done at Custom Powder Coating in Winona MN. Cost $60 / wheel. Zero issues so far. Have seen other work they have done and still looks like new several years later.

🤣🤣. That will be your first and last tank of gas with that MPG! With those wheels and tires you will be lucky to get 16-17mpg. Welcome to the big tire club, we are all meeting at the gas station to fill up! Enjoy!

I went in a slightly different direction than the majority here with the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T 265-65 R18. All the 35's on this thread look epic, but I put ~20k miles a year on and 12mpg won't cut it.

These M/T's are just what I want for my Bronco. Are they much louder than the stock tires were? I had M/T Baja Claws on a Jeep years ago and loved them, but sounded like I was driving a tank

I didn't drive my OBX with the stock tires. However, I can say that at ~1k miles so far they are much quieter than the Bridgestone Dualer A/T's and KO2's that I had on my Trailhawk... although, expectedly, a bit more noticeable than the Cooper Discoverer's. The Cooper's were very quiet (but didn't quite have the look I wanted for the Bronco).
I hope this helps. Post some pics when you decide which way you are going.

Any chance we can get a poke pic with the +20 Fuels? Looks great!
Here are some shots from some different angles.

I really do not think they have that much. It was one of my concerns. I really liked how they turned out.

Great-looking ride. Can you measure how much poke you've got there? Looks like about an inch?

took a few.

From the front where it angles inward, it looks about 2 inches and from the top about 1.25 inches

Thanks!

Hmm but now I’m worried about my wheels.

-12mm offset Method 305s. 295/70/18 tires.

According to calculators, my setup would have an extra 1.5” more poke than yours (which seems like WAY more poke than I’d want).

But when I look at the calculations compared to this B6G user (+1 offset, 35x12.5 on 9” rims), the calculators suggest my setup is supposed to be the same poke as hers (which is exactly what I want — looks to be 2” or so)

anyone have an idea why this seems so different?

My understanding is the more negative the off set the further it will stick out.

Your tire size looks to be about 1 inch wider than mine.

I did a lot looking at post her on the fourm and everything at +20 had the look I was looking for.

Thanks for the reply! KO2's were my second choice. Glad to hear the M/T's are quieter. I really have fond memories of the Baja Claws, and love the history and connection of Mickey Thompson with the Baja 1000 race. I have time to wait as I have been stuck on Ice Mountain since 1/21. After my visit to the dealership and calling Ford CS afterwards then being told to go back to the dealer and talk to the GM... which I did just to be told to call Ford again I am frustrated to the point of giving up. Hopefully they'll pull their heads out of their butts soon. I've never thought buying a new SUV could be so insulting
