thanks. Does anyone know how if there is a reference manual or other document that I could look at for an exploded parts list? I don't see the connector but some look close and i might be looking at the wrong side.
Did you ever find the part number?
I need the piece u posted were the green & purple wire go into then connect to mirror. My mirror was smashed off. Thankfully just the glass but still not complete because i need that plug/connector! Any help would be great!

That sucks. I never found the part and surprisingly, when I brought it to the dealer, they said the entire mirror assembly had to be replaced. In my research and thinking about it before taking it to the dealer, I don't think a splice would be difficult. Take a look at Flip's post #7. He's legendary on this site and he articulated much more clearly what I suggested above.

Good luck.

I didn't look at mine that hard when swapping to SUMA, but couldn't you just unalive the mirror connector and pigtail end, solder the wires on directly, and add a small QD connection inline?

Same issue with my blind spot light connector but screwed up mine switching to the Suma mirrors. I guess I’ll just splice directly the wires. On Bronco wires are green/purple and on Suma I think they are red/white. Would it matter which wire color pairs with which?

I just used a quick connector since the wires just came out after disconnecting it from the mirror. I just matched them up from the other mirror and it works fine now.

Lets back up one step. What is the proper way to release this connector from the mirror? The SUMA video ends right before we are shown how the tabs/retainers are manipulated to remove it properly. @Suma Performance I am guessing that most of these are being damaged by improperly trying to disconnect the plug from the mirror.

I've done a couple rigging jobs on the mirror side as a last ditch effort to avoid replacement. The contact on the mirror terminals is basically an external tab on the harness end that lays against the mirror prongs. I've been able to modify the connector side and made new tabs with a piece of wire stripped down to a couple individual copper strands.

One option is to find some 28-30ga female terminals that will fit snugly on the mirror studs, attach a length of wire to the terminals, push them on the glass plug, fill the connector with silicone caulk and let dry. You'll have to splice the pigtails to the old wires but it's better than dropping a G note on the whole assembly.

I had "a guy" at Ford in the harness/terminal division and discussed this at length. He said the chi-com supplier did the whole assembly including internal harness which was all proprietary. Last conversation with him he was going to try and get some warranty return mirror assemblies and send me the harnesses for spare parts. My most recent email came back as a bad address which means he was probably one of the casualties of Ford's white collar employee reductions.
I have a question here, are you saying for this repair you were able to connect wires to the blind spot light terminals, instead of using a clip, then simply splice those wires into the original wires in thus not even using the original clip? im confused on the "female terminals that will fit snugly on the mirror studs" i guess this is kind of a homemade connector but is this "basically" connecting each wire to the light terminal in the mirror which the connecting tab would have originally connected to? having a small wire pull out of a connector seems like a terrible reason to have to get a $1K full mirror body??

Essentially, yes. The harness is proprietary to the manufacturer which appears to use terminal housings not commonly available commercially. Either solder the terminals to the existing wires, fill the cavity with silicone and call it good or extend the wires and use a small connector or do a direct splice to the existing harness. This is really just a last ditch repair before replacing the whole assembly.

I know this is an old thread, but thought for history my experience might help someone one day. My mirror glass broke when the mirror was impacted. Bought a replacement glass on Amazon for $15. Used the old broken mirror to see how the wiring was to the circuit. The silvery piece is just a plastic reflector that can be easily removed (glued on) by heating it with a hair dryer. See one pic. Then the female connector on the board is exposed. Someone with fine micro soldering skills could then solder two wires to the board, but I used a Dremel tool to carefully grind thru the plastic connector to get more exposure to the 2 pins that wires need to be attached to. Then soldered small gauge wires, covered with silicone and replace the silvery reflector. Attach the new wires directly to the original purple and green mirror wires. I'm glad I had a broken mirror to work on first to see how to approach it. $15 instead of silly $1500 if Ford will only sell the whole mirror. If that was it, I'd do without blind spot light!
PS. The circuit board can also be removed with a hair dryer after the reflector and replaced by heating them in place when done. The orange led in the circuit is the light that shines thru the glass of the mirror when reflected by the silvery plastic cover piece.

Nice job! I figured someone with thise skills could do it, I knew what needed done just not skilled, I did, however, buy a busted mirror and housing that the mirror wasn't broke but the plastic was, had wiring harness so I use just the mirror and I spliced together the wire, all In cost me $100 so.... Anyway same as you ....no way I was paying g $1000+ just cause the wiring came unhooked!

I found this on ebay... https://ebay.us/m/2s8E02
I can confirm the one end is correct and plugs into the mirror...the other end must be for a different vehicle. I simply spliced the connector and plugged right in.
