So it hasent even been delivered and of course I'm already shopping for stuff. Do I even have rock rails on a standard badlands order?

Yes, although there is room for improvement with aftermarket options having better coverage and stronger mounting locations.

I'm sticking with the stock rails until they get beat up more. The cross member (assuming you have the 2.7L) are what likes to get destroyed.

Recommend checking out RCI. Their parts are quality. They have sliders and rails available. I'd also grab the cross-member and transmission skids asap since Badlands is missing armor there.

Good info. Now what’s the cross member. Supports the transmission? And on the subject is you cat converter protected from theft by stock skid plates?

Correct. And stiffens the frame for the immense amount of torque we get ;)

Cats are tucked away up near the engine. No need to worry about theft on Broncos.

Ive yet to hit my rock rail on my badland, clearance is good for sure, but id def. look into getting skids for the lower rear shocks personally.

I got some nice scrapes on my stock rock rails and some good skidplate action when I took the switchback down radical hill into Webster pass and boy that is a rockpile.

Missed this one. DV8 is a good option here.

I have the DV8 skids for the shocks. They’re great once installed, looks etc.. but they’re not the easiest install, even though they’re 2 bolts

I also have the DV8 shock skids and they work great, got some road rash at Bronco Safari. They are a bitch to install especially when you try and loosen the 350 FT PD bolts on the shocks.
Make sure you get a good transmission skid plate that covers the rails.
Good luck!
