Well I asked a while back if there was an adjustment for the rear side window slide. Last weekend was beautiful so I took the top off to see.

The drivers side rear window will not pull out. I pressed down on the plastic piece at the front of the larger slide in the frame. The window has two round pieces that slide into a channel a long one and a short one. The short one starts to pull out but the long one hits the channel the short one slides into.

I played with it enough to get it out, by loosing the two Torx screw holding the plastic piece in place. I placed the entire top frame on saw horses to try and figure out if there was an adjustment or maybe a way to shim the plastic piece. There is no way. The metal bracket the plastic piece screws into is bent up about 1/16to an 1/8th of an inch which is causing the two channels not to line up. I dropped by my dealer to see about shims to fix it. To their credit the said they hadn't see any soft tops or how to remove the window. I showed them how.

Anyway they opened a case with Ford about how to adjust the bracket or replace the entire frame.

We shall see.

Are you pulling it out towards the front? If so, I don't think you can do it that way. I take rear off first, then take sides off pulling to the rear of the Bronco.

Either way. I take my passenger side off pulling to the front, it comes out pretty easy.

From the Ford website. Look at step #3

How to Remove the Bronco Soft Top
For generations, a soft top coming down has been the first sign of warmer days ahead. The story is the same with your Ford Bronco SUV. Your soft top can be opened partly or completely, or can be removed.
Note: Vehicle should be parked or stopped when removing or opening the soft top.
To open it partially:
  1. Lower the visors, then release the two latches in the headliner
  2. Push the soft top up and to the rear
  3. In the glove box, you’ll find Velcro straps to hold it in place if you are going off road or just driving on rough surfaces
To open it fully:
  1. Remove the rear quarter windows and the rear window
  2. Unbuckle the three clips at the top, and release the front edge by pulling the fabric out of the slot
  3. Slide the bottom panel forward all the way out to remove it. Repeat the process for the other rear quarter window
  4. On the rear window, release the Velcro all along the top and flip it up
  5. Pull the bottom corners rearward to disengage the clip
  6. Remove the top corners from the slots
  7. Unbuckle the four clips at the top, and slide the bottom of the window out, left or right
  8. Remove the straps, then press down the handle on the driver’s side of your vehicle to unlatch the soft top. Lift and rotate the soft top toward the rear of the vehicle
To completely remove the soft top:
  1. Remove the panel covers above the rear wheel wells in the cargo area
  2. Get the Bronco tool kit from your glove box
  3. Find the 13 mm hex socket tool to remove the three bolts on each side. Push up on these latches on each side of the rear corners on the soft top
  4. With a friend’s help, remove the soft top and store it in a secure area. Replace the panel covers and you’re good to go

Just how it is. The two tracks with the space between don't align. You'll (not) get used to it.

There's a guy here who did some trimming on the edges, don't know how to find it, but might be worth finding. I'd like to do it as well, even tho' I only put them in/out once per year.

Mine are so misaligned that I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it from the small track lined up to even enter the back track (pulling from from to back)

I just can't even get it started to enter the back/long track.

are there any tricks?

I push up on the longer track and angle the male channel piece down to get it in. It actually shaves a little off the male piece every time, so it’s getting slightly easier 😂😂

I was just looking at the tracks and realized the same - that I could push up a little on the longer track to line things up.

I have thought about taking a flat metal file and trying to "round the corners" on the entry of the slot to help the rubber piece slide in easier.

I have found that slightly pulling out on the soft top window will actually make the rubber pull and make it thinner to ease it in easier.
