Soft Top Roof Rack recommendations?

I am looking for a roof rack that will work well on my Black Diamond with a Soft top. I know there are a few models out there. Which is the best? Should I stay away from any particular brand?

Depends, do you want to still be able to open the soft top without having to remove the rack? If so, this guy has the only one I am aware of currently (could be wrong) but wants $2600 for it when it is in stock. https://22winty.com/

If not, there are plenty of others out there to choose from. Personally, I'll never sacrifice my soft top functionality for a roof rack so am waiting patiently for time to bring us other options besides 22winty.

I have the @GOBI Racks on my Soft Top, I love it. The two drawbacks are you can open to top to the first open position and the rear window up travel it mostly limited. Those are the only two cons. I can have it the top completely to the down positing and rack back in place in about 10 mins on less. Not hard at all. It is sturdy, looks good to me. Can add accessories to it easily. There is a quick release at the light bar area, and by the back bumper is a pivot point to lift and allow the top to go back.

Looks like the front can come off, or you can only install the rear rack and flip back the soft top.

They are crazy pricy. 2000-3000 for a rack seems insane. Is it just a lack of competition in the market?

Damn there are some options on here I didn't know about. That hitch rack is inexpensive and could possibly hold my roof coffin for family trips.

I looked into this quite a bit for the last year as I wanted something to be able to mount Skis/Snoboards in the winter. I liked the 22winty and ability to be able to still open the back, but it was out of my price range.

I recently bought the DV8 soft top roof rack and I love it. Once it is put together, it is probably 30 minutes and an extra person to put it on and take it off. I'll probably keep it on in the summer for the kayaks and camping. Take it off in the fall/spring to have the top down, then put it on in the winter for skiing.

I went with Raket Design because the basket comes off and I can open the first stage.
Yest it's pricey.

I picked up a hitch-mount rack on FB marketplace for $200 - there were a few posted around me so might want to take a look. Great solution for softop since it’s easy on and off. If you are like me and keep the rear windows out most of the time you don’t really need to worry about opening the gate either.

Derick, I've been watching your product and think it would be a good fit, but couple people I've talked to that own one complain about wind noise on soft top roof/side windows. I know some noise is to be expected with a roof rack, but are there improvements or some kind of deflector in development?
