Soft Top - Rubbing / Wear on metal? (Not top fabric or roll cage)

I've had the top completely down for most of the summer. Put it up today for a wash, and noticed some metal rubbing/wear on the soft top assembly. Not sure if this has been documented before - wondering if this is common?
