I apologize in advance if this annoys anyone, but I searched and couldn't find an answer.
Can someone help direct me to figure what are the differences between the two versions?
Thanks.

I know that there was a year split and it added a "rain gutter" but that's all I can remember off the top of my head

Is the hardware basically the same between the two versions?

I’ve had both versions. My job2 ‘23 did not have the rain gutter seams down the length of the top. My Jan 9th built ‘24 does have the rain gutters sewn in, more like pleats really. I found no differences in hardware, fabric weight, mechanics in the way the tops folded. Even the dumbest engeneering feat ever….the rear hatch and how it operates, is unfortunately still the same.

It does seem to me that the rain gutter may keep the top a tad less saggy looking compared to a friends ‘22 softy. Could be me though.

I had my 2022 soft top reskinned by the dealer after multiple interior liner delaminations.

The original frame was kept and they replaced the fabric with the newer post 2024 soft top
1. There seems to be more material generally. I'd say I noticed a slight increase in sag above the front seats. It's not perceivable from the interior and I only notice it after a rain
2. The newer top has rain gutters/ridges running along the sides.
3. More material and better fit with the 3 rear windows.
