Hope it’s the widows.🙏🏻🙏🏻

🤣🤣🤣🤣
LOL. I have a 2-Door 23MY built late April ‘23. I did not have any problems with the windows, and I didn’t notice any difference after the update.

Before the update:
  • When opening the door with the door handle, that window nudged down.
  • When pressing unlock on the keyfob, both windows didn’t budge.
  • When pressing keyfob unlock then pressing again and holding, both windows expressed all the way down.
After the update - same behavior.

Raptor gauge definitely isn't coming to our tiny little 7 inch screens 😂 but going to cross my finger for MY25 announcement with digital dash as mentioned by others in this thread. Hopefully Ford doesn't make the jump to the Android system yet like they did in the MY25 Explorer so we can maybe do an IPC swap on 21-24 models
For 2024, the F150 and new S650 Mustang changed hardware-wise. The update for the Mustangs that added new gauges mentioned earlier in this thread is an APIM update and not an IPC update. Livinitup already put a 2024 F150 IPC on his bench to mess with it and it is completely different from the 21-23 years. Seems like it is just a screen now with no programmable module which explains why the new gauges update came as an APIM update for the Mustangs. Idk if they 2024 Bronco is the same way yet.

To check what modules have pending updates, someone would need to run the VIN through PTS or FDRS to check. Message me the VIN and I can do it for you.
My VIN - 1FMDE5DH3NLB89468
Could you check this vin please? Thanks in advance!

Your truck is on Sync 23159 which is one version behind the latest one. You've gotten 4 updates between June and now; last one being 6.1.0 a week ago. The truck is not reporting any codes and seems very happy in that regard. Modules with pending updates are marked with the green dot in the screenshot below. The TCU update at the bottom of the list is the next one you need come in before the next APIM/GWM will be released on the server for you to get the final Sync update you need to be up to date as far as those modules go. IMO, nothing to be concerned about here in terms of updates.

Could you take a look at VIN 1FMEE5DH0NLB72793 for me please?

I recently found out last week my sync haven't updated since 2022 (I'm on 22082 Revision 411). I have Scheduled updates turned On and It's connected to my Home's WIFI.

I purchased my truck brand new on 2023 but it is a 2022 model that sat on the dealership for too long. Maybe being turned off for so long has something to do with the fact it is not getting updates?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, the truck sitting will 100% have an adverse affect on getting updates. Due to the way the OTA's work, once an update is sent, the vehicle MUST be started within a 7 day window in order for the vehicle to ping the server back and initiate the update process. In your case, your OTA dashboard is blank which means nothing has been sent to you in the past 60-90 days; I cannot see OTA history passed that as it is not recorded in PTS. Modules pending updates are below. The GWM you see there is the one you need to come in for more updates to be released for you.

Btw, your truck is consistently reporting this code. The SSM it references is attached. If your truck gives you random messages about certain things not working, it could be due to a loose connection. If your truck is not giving you any issues, then you can ignore this.

Just curious how these updates work. I have not received one OTA update yet. I have a 2024MY (1FMDE8BH0RLA31888) and brought it in for service at 2,000 miles because i got a "Service brake system" notification while on the highway. The dealer said it wasnt actively throwing and couldnt reproduce, so they did nothing. I had a list of things for them to check as well, like how often the sync system needs to be reset. They said that they did some updates on the sync, but on the invoice provided, what was told to me on the phone didnt match with what they had listed. And my first start of the bronco, i needed to manually reset the sync system because of black screen, so im not sure they actually did anything. Do these updates always get checked when you bring the truck in for service? Or only when the update is related to the service issue you are reporting?

Curious, I'm a 2021, 40K miles. 1FMEE5DP7MLA86516

I have not had any updates in 2024 pushed to me, that or the messages for them didn't save in FordPass.

As far as updates go, you have a 2024 so your experience will be very different from what you ready about here. Your truck was built with the latest software already. You are only showing three pending updates. You haven't been sent anything because there is very little to update on your truck for now.

As far as the brake warning you got, I assume it was these random codes reported by your truck. It happened on 7/6 and again on 7/10. The dealer is right, though. The codes went away and have not come back. You have not pending updates for any of the modules mentioned below, so there is nothing for them to do. However, they didn't update any modules while the truck was there. It is possible there weren't any updates showing for you a month ago when it was there.

Ford does not pay dealers to update modules just because they are out of date. The dealer will only do them as part of a recall or if the module updates fixes a particular customer concern.

Thanks for the confirmation, thats what i was wondering. Interesting to see that those warnings unrelated to the braking system were likely caused by me swapping out the factory wireless charging pad for the Mabett one. They did supposedly replace my turning signal stalk to prevent it from over correcting from Right to Left. Wonder what the pending updates are.

With the volume of people calling in with issues after the latest OTA, I can't imagine Ford would have the balls to try an cluster upgrade of that type OTA. They can't even get routine ones done reliably.

The door module updates are these. Two threads were started about the same OTA.

The GWM I am not sure. Updates for that module are released all the time with vague release notes. The GWM is one of most (if not the most) important modules in the network since it facilities communication between all the other modules, so Ford is constantly tinkering with it.
