I loved our Ranger Raptor. It was a bad-ass truck. But Julie wanted a "Mamaw" car for the quilting trips she takes with her friends! So it was either the RR or the Bronco. So now we have an Explorer and a Bronco!

A Bronco, Ranger or any similar vehicle will always be a second vehicle for me to a 1-Ton truck. It does the work so the Bronco can have some fun.

If talking about stock vehicles, I’d say the stock wildtrak (equipped with OEM Fox coilovers) was absolutely a great car after making it a wide-track™️ aka putting on 1.5” wheel spacers. Then added Katskinz to get the cooled seats and tinted the windshield.

To talk about modifications, the current iteration of wifey’s build is our favorite. 59 tooth tone rings should fix our ABS errors, but we’ll see. It started off as portals and coilovers, then lowered with portals and coilovers, and now the portal “mullet” build, which is business in the front with portals and a party in the back with a D60 and 18+ inches of travel.

That said, we still need to finish the long travel build to see how we like that.

I would have ordered it with the Modular bumper. I didn't want to spend the $595 for the option only to turn around and buy an aftermarket one, which I thought for sure I would find one I liked. I also considered that there would likely be plenty of them for sale from people who chose to go aftermarket. I was wrong on both counts.

Whats one thing (or more than one) you’d do differently if you started your build over?

I would do it again exactly same order.

2-door base, manual transmission, only upcharge was the uplifter switches.

After delivery:
- complete set of take-off wheels for $500
- trailer hitch
- cut-in oem style amber fog lights
- gmrs remote 2-way radio
- white letters on the grill

Mine is green and like a few of the other bright colors.

These are unique, especially the 2-door and I love seeing them in bright colors.

Starting over, I wish I understood the allocation system better before making my reservation. Of course, I wasn't the only one when the initial promise was "Reservations before Allocations". Also, wouldn't believe a word that comes out of smarmy Levine's mouth.

I can't throw too much shade on that because the only thing I COULD NOT get on my 2021 Bronco that I would do in a do-over, was Sasquatch with 7MT .... and that still burns my toast with Ford every time I am reminded about it.

So yeah, 2021 BaseManSquatch in AMB would have been the shit.
..... or maybe my tightass should have sprung for a Badlands 7MT in AMB .
Regardless, still mighty proud of my $32k MSRP and I love the simplicity of the Base model.

You were only 16k short. I walked out at 48k for my Badlands 7MT in white, mid pkg with tow. Loving every minute of it. The only bitch I have is not being able to get the Mod top.

I'm in the same boat, I love my 7mt badlands and it would be hard to give up. However, if mine were wrecked beyond repair I think I'd probably go with a ranger raptor. Rebuilding another badlands to match my current one runs just about $56.5k. The ranger raptor is right around that and offers a lot more for the same dollar.

I started over and bought a 2026 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. My 2022 Bronco Badlands SAS was riddled with issues that Ford didn't want to address. I put a ton of time and money into the Bronco, but I couldn't get it dialed in to make it anywhere enjoyable to drive.

Maybe I'll come back in a few years if they got rid of the frameless windows, offered a quality hard top, fixed all the annoying rattles, and stood by their warranty. I would probably get a Raptor, after they fully change out the ugly fenders.

That's the exact same conclusion I've arrived at.

I'm not looking to get rid of my Bronco, but I wouldn't replace it with another if it got totaled or stolen.

Nothing. So happy I didn’t get an early build despite my very early res as the golden ticket orange Braptor has just exceeded expectations across the board and made the wait worth it. Amazing truck.

I am definitely not in the buy once/cry once club, I'm in the: hope to retire at 58/should've been able to retire at 50 club. I got a Base Sas, no regrets about not spending $3k for tinted windows. Compounding interest....regards.

Reading this makes me so glad that I picked a career I never want to retire from.

For me, it's my Eibach coilovers. I've replaced all of them due to them leaking. I rock crawl, no fast desert stuff here and they just leak. Less than 15k and all have been replaced. I think my next mod will be ORI struts, 8" in the front and 10" in the rear...

I would have not gotten the Sasquatch package because I have replaced most of it and would be happier with a rear 60 and ultra front…a v6 auto base would have been a smarter choice, but really I haven’t broken the axles, yet and I am getting too old to do much serious stuff anymore…guess I’ll stick with my stripper big bend v6 Sasquatch…no way I’ll buy a new bronco since 2dr v6 is not available…
