Unclear of this is hardware or software issue yet, but floating it to see if the Bronco6G f
brain trust has any info…..
Any others experiencing Steering Angle Sensor fault? Any hints on resolving?
I was at the local track, pushing hard yesterday, came home and washed truck including spraying out mud from underside. When I backed downhill into my garage with a full lock turn, I got a nasty sound which I assume is coming from the steering rack. Also noted that after I straightened the wheel, the reverse guidance lines on back up camera view still showed full lock. The truck steers fine otherwise.
A quick DTC scan indicated a number of errors centered around PSCM and modules receiving bad data from the PSCM. The rack is a 74 Weld case with my OEM internal with roughly 40k miles.
This is with steering wheels straight, note the reverse guidance still showing full lock. I do have a DTC indicating the IPC is getting bad data from the PSCM, so this kind of makes sense.
The noise (ugh). Only happens in reverse, going downhill and at full lock to the drivers side. The video was while I was at a full stop. After resetting DTCs and the PSCM module previously, I got down to only PSCM and VDM codes remaining. It throws the majority of codes and warnings when this scenario happens.
