I would like to put @TheKim and everyone else's mind at ease. I did not pull off of the trail or in some random field of wildflowers to take the challenge pic. The picture was taken on my property. Here it is this morning after I mowed yesterday.

An older pic of mine but the ocean is a couple hours away so not going to be able to go take a fresh one

I kind of think you met the challenge. It clearly specified ocean. Gulf of Mexico is not an ocean.

You understood the assignment. Also, the overall challenge thread never specified that photos have to be taken after the challenge is issued. Old photos are fine as long as they meet the criteria of the challenge.

Nope. I'll let others participate. Ocean/Palm Tree photos are too easy. I'm 15 minutes from toes in the sand any given day.

Assuming I'm not DQ'd for having had a turn just yesterday, let's stick with the tree theme and see a Bronco next to a joshua tree.

Same, but I'm in an area now where palm trees are not "native" and the mansion flippers keep destroying the amazing natural flora to put in lawns and palm trees... sickening.
