MP 14 in Nags Head. I'll keep an eye out for you next summer when we're hopefully enjoying our new rides at the beach.
I usually get down there once during a trip. I head over to the airport with the cameras and get Dare MedFlight coming or going or maybe the Cessna 208 Cargomasters (FedEx & UPS feeders) coming in.

Keep an eye out for me, too. We built a house in Southern Shores in 1992. We head down 2 to 3 times throughout the year.

I'll be down there too, but I'll be in a Red Ram 3500 pulling a 33' TT, somewhere near Hatteras. :)

Any visit to Stephens when Broncos start shipping is going to be amazing. It will be like a steady Bronco show for a year. The buzz this will generate and goodwill they have created will be handsomely rewarded with a lot of new business and PR. This is a business that understands long term strategy. Quite honestly this is how CarMAX has been doing business for a long time. The New Car dealership model is being disrupted by the Tesla's and Rivan's of the world. A few dealers get the idea of having fewer salespeople close all the deals they touch rather than 16 guys standing around a donut box on Saturday swarming like sharks hoping to find the bait in the water.

I just need to visit my dealer once to know whether this gets moved or not. My wife switched to getting her Lincoln serviced here because of how nice they were. Not sure how that will translate to the sales floor. Stephens will be my first call when my dealer laughs at me.

I was reading a few things about dealer allocation and it could delay shipments to dealers offering deals like this. Do I risk delaying anything by moving to @StephensAutoCenter? i have a mid-July reservation if it matters.

wondering the same. I am not as early...July 22nd, but don’t want to back up delivery 4 months because I switched.

John. Already moved my res over to you. At what point after ordering, will you be able to provide a build date and projected delivery date?

We think we'll know the delivery date around 90 days out (we hope).

So my local dealer said they can offer $500-$750 off MSRP after telling me they couldn't match Stephen's or Granger's deals. This may be a rhetorical question, but is that a deal I should take? Depending on plane ticket pricing next summer, we may end up spending about a grand in travel and lodging to pick up a Bronco at @StephensAutoCenter. I'm pretty sure there's still savings there to more than make up for the trip. Plus, the better half isn't opposed to having a mini vacation and enjoying the sites on the way back. So let's assume after a flight, hotel stays, food & entertainment, we come out spending the same amount as just staying home and taking the local deal, is one way better than the other? Will I be waiting longer going to a smaller dealership that is potentially overbooked with reservations or would the process go smoother with the local big guy? Will the local dealer not want to perform service on my Bronco if I didn't purchase from them? The way I look at it, with Stephen's I'm either getting a nice trip out of it or I can step up to a better model or get some more options - those are the pros. That makes switching to Stephen's a no brainer. It's the unknown cons in the deal that I'm not sure about - if there are any. I'm not trying to beat my local guy up on pricing because I don't know what kind of overhead they have compared to Stephen's or Granger, likewise I don't want to bog down what I think is going to be a huge backlog of orders coming through these dealers and making the experience a potential living nightmare for everyone.

We probably handle the largest number of Government/Fleet vehicles in the entire State. We sometimes get 4-5 car haulers full of vehicles PER DAY. Yes, it can happen and we're ready to handle the large uptick in the number of vehicles we'll be getting, but, because of the dozens upon dozens of fleet vehicles we move every month, it's really not that big of a deal to us to move 200+ Broncos in 2021. The total number of vehicles we move each month is about 3x that of our "Retail Sales" numbers that other dealers usually go by when calling Stephens a "small dealer", 4x if you consider the number of used vehicles we sell and have arriving daily.

Good to know, and I by no means meant any offense for classifying Stephen's as a "small dealership". I can only base things off the mega mall local dealer I have near me. It is kind of funny to step foot in one of their four buildings they have here (One for each of the big three manufacturers and a fourth for pre-owned) to talk about what kind of deal I could get on my Bronco. I was the only customer and there were only two sales staff on board. Maybe it's the timing of it all with Covid and most dealerships around here still having trouble getting new inventory in from the Manufacturers. I'd hate to own a dealership right now during these times.

I've been following your comments for awhile and they are always negative and directed to discourage people from switching to these types of dealers/offers. They also sure sound like your an employee at a larger dealership, possibly Wolt and Wind Ford in Pittsburgh?! I know via private chat you mentioned that you have a reservation at that location and you knew the exact quantity of reservations when we chatted (I knew it as well, but provided an inaccurate figure!) You sure sound like the bronco specialist from that location. If my assumption is correct, you should be ashamed. You are not a true representation of people from Pittsburgh.
