Silicone it back on, in case it needs to be removed in the future. JB Weld will be extremely tough to get off.

No worries. Just replace it with a square of Dynamat or similar butyl rubber sound deadener. Easy peasy.

I swear Ford vehicles have the most random stuff throughout the vehicle, such as holes in the most unexpected area and some cheap ass sound deadening materials.

My Mustang has this funny-looking sponge inside the quarter panel to reduce noise lmao

My guess is that it is an optical registration mark for the robots that assemble and weld the body panels together. It was probably meant to be removed before paint and at this point serves absolutely no purpose.

Is this the case for all Broncos or just a factory defect for this one? The raw metal here will rust out the rocker in no time in PA winter salt and brine. Needs all tape removed, paint and plugs asap.
