So, I saw someone else post about this , and I have to share mine too
I have a 2021 4dr Outerbanks Sasquatch package. About 30,000 miles on it. Never ever took it off roading. I go to work and back. Driving in to work today my bronco was all over the road the back end was throwing itself all over. I pulled off the highway and crawled into work going about 10 mph. I was never so scared felt like I was going to flip ! Luckily , I work at a ford dealership , and pulled right into service. Shook up I ran to the main tech who said let me take it for a test drive, he barely made it down the road. pulled it on the life and the strut reservoir is clear off it. He said he never saw something like this happen ! No sign of damage, I didn’t hit anything , just fell off. Parts are ordered but how scary.

Not sure how common this is, but there have been a few other threads on here where the same thing has happened.

Did the shock bolt that is missing in the first picture fall out?

Even though you have not wheeled it (gone off road), I see the PA brine has eaten its way into the Bilsteins already. :(

That would explain the scar in the Bilstein by the control arm bolt, opposite the res. ;)

edit: I went back and looked that hole must be one of the two small holes in the bracket, ahead of the shock bolt.
