In Arizona, everything is a water-bottle holder. The cup holders, the door pockets, the space between the seat and the door, between your hip and the seat belt...

I'm happy there's a big net "drink holder" on the door because our giant Thermoflasks/Hydroflasks don't fit in the standard cup holders.

I would think in cold places that would be a nice place for a giant Thermos of coffee.

I really don't understand why you would want a puny, normal cup-holder on the door. You'll just spill stuff every time you open or close it. 😍😍

It’s a bottle holder... not a cup holder. Fine by me. What i cant get over is that you have to pay for leather if you want the cup holders in the back seat. Good thing I’ll never be back there :p

I can’t believe Ford forgot about cup holders! I’m so upset! Look at Subaru!

Why does Subaru hate the right rear passenger?! Only two cupholders to everyone else's 3+???

It's an outrage, and now I'm going to have to go to the Ascent1G.com and tell them I'm cancelling my reservation!

No!

You are correct. But Ford doesn't advertise it as a cup holder. They call it a beverage holder so you can use it anything with a cap. That's their way of slue marketing to advertise more beverage holders for it.

As a kid I used to keep my drink between my legs since our car didn’t have any cup holders. As I got older and started to drink hot coffee on my way to work that technique ended abruptly😳. I’ll take the nets, better than nothing.

Holy crap another cupholder thread.
Obviously there is a reason none of us know why they decided not to included cup holders in most models. The feature nowadays is for the most part standard on most vehicles so until someone knows the real reason all everyone is doing is guessing.
