Bought a Rockwood 2280BHESP off road tent trailer. 19 feet in length. Weighs 2559 lbs with 338lbs on the hitch.(unladen). Ford limit is 3500 and 350. Installed the curt hitch myself (C76WR). Also had to use the extension to clear the spare. Local trailer dealer installed the Primus brake controller and rear wiring harness. I first installed the wrong harness myself and found it was for LED taillights. My Base has Halogen so they switched them out. Sits one inch lower in the back when hooked up empty. The Bronco tows the trailer great. Power is not an issue. Never hunted for gears.

All my temps stayed relatively the same on an 80 degree day. The suspension does just fine. Got 15 MPG towing at 65 mph. My normal is 18mpg. All in all, I am very happy with the setup. I have towed just about everything else with trucks and jeeps.

While I'm sure that an extra 80lbs(?) of weight from those propane cylinders on the tongue doesn't help, I now know why it can't pull 6000lbs
