All, am having 6112s installed next week (adjusted for a a 2” lift on a non-SAS 2023 OBX). I purchased take-off Wildtrack wheels from a member here and am looking to go with 315/70 17 A/T tires.

While I have read many of the posts here on “poke” can anyone post a pic or tell me the difference in the width of SAS vs OBX flares? I’d like to keep my OBX flares but not a fan of too much poke either…from pics here it seems the SAS flares w/35’s are relatively flush so if I do SAS wheels w/35’s my poke s/b the difference in flare widths?

thanks in advance for your insight!

This is my Base with +35mm Methods and 35 x 11.5 Toyo's, standard flares.
The factory Squatch wheels and 315's will be out a bit more than that. Something like 3/4 inch.

Really, if you want zero poke from a sasquatch set up, you'll need sasquatch flares.

If you keeping non sas flares I would keep it stock at +30 offset. If SAS Flares you can go 0 offset and it looks good and still covers tread. I went 0 offset but I have SAS flares. Difference is about 1.5 inches.

35x12.5 KO2s. Everglades rims which are the same as SAS. Non SAS Badlands.

Thanks all for your insight! Jdoc92 looks like you have about what poke I’ll end up with, 35x12.5 A/T’s, SAS Wildtrack wheels and stock OBX flares. Assuming the OBX flares are close to the width of your non-SAS Badlands flares. Your poke is not too bad and I could live with that.

Thanks HD, that pic really helps, looks like I’ll see what the OBX flares cover then source SAS flares if necessary. I’m thinking up to 1.5” poke would be ok…

Might want to put some paint protection film on your nice painted flares on the leading edge of the rear, I found out the hard way why SAS does not have them

If not mistaken sas flares are like 1.5" wider so if youre keeping stock flares you're gonna have a little bit of poke

OK, (flame suit on 😊), what if I was to go with 305/70 vs 315/70? 305s are 1/2” narrower, (reducing poke) & likely still fit the take-off Wildtrack wheels…thoughts?

thx…

285/75/17 is the answer. 33.9 inches tall. With OBX flares you will have about .5 inch poke. If you do a lot of highway miles like me, 315 is way too much width.

Do they make a 305/70/17? I ran 305/65/17 (33's) on my Tacoma and they worked great.

They do, but after tons of research leaning towards Toyo Open Country A/T IIIs in the 35x11.5 17 size. Will be about 1” skinnier than the 315/70R 17s so should help with poke and be about 6lbs/tire lighter. It’s those or back to the BFG K02s, in the 315/70 size (C). Had those on Raptor but they were done at 20K miles. Also like the Nitto Recon Grapplers, but they only come in E rating and since this is my daily driver don’t want the noise/stiffness of an E rated tire. Thx

I'm not a huge poke fan, but I put standard painted Outerbanks flares on my SAS obx and here's what it looks like. Those are stock sas wheels Powdercoated bright silver.
