Tube doors, or not?

Why would you want tube doors instead of just going without doors?

  • They just look cool and I want everyone to see the coolness

  • The lawmakers in my state are a bunch of candy a$$e$ and wont allow us to ride without doors

  • I think they will save my bacon and make a difference in case of an accident

  • I hate polls, but here I am voting on another poll

  • No tube doors for me, thank you very much

I think it is just a feeling of more safe than no door at all. It honestly looks good from an appearance standpoint. My wife would vote for them versus no door. I think I would go with the tube doors. It provides some motivation to not put your feet out of the vehicle....which seems safer.
From a driver's perspective, the 7sp MT keeps me busy enough that I'm not tempted to stick mine out, LOL! I get it though.

I bought a set of the JCR's for my Bronco after not ever using them on my JKU. Mostly as I have pre-teens and it offers them and the Mrs. a sense of security. They were always apprehensive to ride in the Jeep doors off but now jump right in the Bronco with tube doors. I also blacked-out my door jams and think it looks 10x better than having contrasting colors of tube doors / jams / trim. Off course, if you have a black or carbonized gray Bronco then you can skip this step.

I was thinking I'd like a set of tube doors, but got to thinking "why bother?"
What the consensus here?
No tube doors for me! I wouldn't be driving that often without doors and there a lot of money that I would rather put toward other accesories. If I would plan to drive more often with doors off I'd get them.

Pretty much for the armrest only. I don’t have any, so apparently it’s not that big of a deal for me yet. They do look kinda cool though.

Looks good. Could you please share an after picture that is zoomed out a little more so I can better see the contrast with the Cactus Gray (the color of my BL as well). TIA!

Not sure how I'd feel with no doors (even though I ride a motorcycle) but realistically I think I need them for my dog (even though he's strapped in) he likes to get his flow on and rests his front legs on the door sill while he has his head out the window.

Thanks. It was a teaser pic for a reason, lol. It is no longer Cactus Gray, however, it is not quite ready for it's prime time debut. I can say, that the blacked out cabin looks really good in contrast with the body color. Now I just need to do something about that roll bar...

I was considering the tube doors for off road use. However, not any longer because @Ford has increased the price for the two door by 47% from last year. They are the same material and nothing added special to warrant that kind of price increase, well I guess there is always greed.

Wife really wanted them on her Bronco. I don’t want them on my Bronco, but don’t mind them. I will say that the Ford ones are VERY robust. They aren’t light steel. The downside is that any child in back can pull the strap and open them. There is no child lock of any kind. The up side is that our kids are grown.

Wait til spring and get step through doors from Andersons.

Or grab a set of halos. Get the open air feeling with a arm rest.
