Small mod after installing the Tuffy Cargo drawer. Looked unfinished with the tie down hook cover removed for install. Cut about an inch off and filed a groove in the middle (where it will contact the hardware for the tuffy cargo drawer). Locks in perfect and looks much better.
Free and took a few minutes.

Looks good. I agree; it looks unfinished but it doesn't bother me enough to do this haha. At least, not yet :)

Well done!

Not to be a pain, but can you show a picture of the plastic piece you cut and what it looks like un-installed?

My issue is more I don't have the tools to do it, haha. But lets see what you did. Maybe I can just use a steak knife to cut it out (just kidding).

Going to do the same to mine. Great idea! Not 100% sold on the drawer though so I bought extra hook covers from ford. Part #M2DZ78313A68AA in case anyone else is interested.

Your tie downs are supposed to be moved to the top of the tuffy box. Just an FYI.

Yep, but I purchased that box used and it came with 4 tie downs already installed. So left mine in place.

That's what I thought. Mine is still in its box waiting on a warmer day and some help installing -
It's a lot heavier than what I thought - which is a good thing

So you are not bolting it down to where the tiedowns are supposed to be removed?, Just loose? Although it won't bounce much

It's bolted down, only one tie down bolt is removed and the drawer bolts down through the tie down hole where the original bolt was. Easy install.
