Purchased this item that my mod guy says doesn't fit the Bronco after trying to install it. Are there any recommendations for other kits that will fit the Bronco? We don't want wheel well or strips. Did a search but everything comes up wheel well.
Amazon.com: OPT7 Aura Aluminum Underglow LED Lighting Kit for Truck w/Wireless Remote, Exterior Neon Accent Underbody Strip, Multi-Color n Mode, Waterproof, Soundsync, Aluminum Casing, Door Assist, Smart LED, 8pc : Automotive
I installed an RGB style with two pucks per wheel well. The installation was clean because that's how I roll. I had to lengthen one of the wires. After installing them I wish I had gone to something that had bright white light. I believe the ones you originally purchased are not rock lights but under glow. The straight LED strips would only fit on the frame. I prefer functional lights not just show. My attached video shows flashing blue and red. Not legal and not functional. lol

He is going to hook them up to aux switches. We didn’t want wheel wells because we don’t want it to possibly take away from the fenders. If rock lights can be hooked up to the bottom of the bronco and not in the well we would definitely consider it.

Oh you can mount these wherever you want, doesn’t have to be the wheel wells. There are people who’ve mounted all 4 to the back as additional lighting for back there, you can mount them to the bottom of the side steps if you want to. The options are up to you. They are also expandable up to 8 lights as well, so that’s an option too.

Nice. Got a photo of this at night time with white light?
No but I snapped a pic of the rock lights with the running board lights on.

Not much of a mod guy if he can't install a couple of led strips. Take it elsewhere or maybe tackle it yoself
we dont want strips even though it is a cheaper option. we have used bars in the past and those worked well.

I installed a set similar to those on mine. Worked out great.

This looks really good. Where did you mount the front and rear lights? We are trying to decide on a location.

Plenty of spots to bolt on and bend some flat stock as brackets to install rock lights literally anywhere you want outside of the wheel well, aimed directly where you need light. I have them tucked under each corner of the bumper plus two on each of my sliders. Only dark areas are directly in the center of the vehicle, and that's just because I haven't gone out and installed any in the middle yet. There's no sense in installing them in the wheel wells because most of the light is going to be blocked by your tires and that almost entirely defeats their purpose. If you're going for colored accent lights rather than illuminating obstacles then it doesn't matter if they're in the wheel wells or not, and they're certainly easier to install if you're not worried about ground coverage.

These are good off brand white lights that will provide a lot of lumens without sacrificing durability, they only draw .4A so you won't be taxing any of the 10A aux switch circuits:

You can also find nearly identical lights at Harbor Freight where the winches and straps are, they work just as well but cost a bit more.

You'll also have to pick up some wire for the install:

And to make things waterproof and tidy:

For the mounting brackets, they're super easy to make, just some 3/4" flat stock bent 90deg, drill one side with a hole for an available bolt somewhere on the frame, and two small holes on the other side to mount the light itself. Point it where you need light, then torque the bolt back down. 3/4" stock is easy to bend by hand if you need to adjust where they're pointing. It's a good idea to make sure they're not hanging down below the frame or bumper so they won't get ripped off by rocks and whatnot.

We ended up going with Mictuning C3 wireless lights. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

End product. Having lights in the wheel well didn’t take away from the white fender flares.
