I thought I read somewhere (perhaps @PREMiERdrum or @ZackDanger) that only soft tops were going to Dealership Inventories.

I can’t find it quick, but there’s a screen cap of Ford telling their dealers they can order stock units for MY21 (if they don’t have any buildable retail orders), but one of the conditions is it must have a soft top.

Not sure what rules Canada is playing by.

Every one I've seen in shows both.

That'd be one way to avoid speeding tickets though lol.

That is my go-to explanation when I do 90-100 mph in the States - the mph indications on the analog speedo were way down in the fat part of the needle and the needle covered about a 40mph deadband - worked great and got me out of a few tickets.

You confirmed this how? No dealer has yet been able to order a standard stock unit, so no matter how the dealer got this (assuming it isn't their demo) then the sale will count against the 80/20 name match.

Fun question: What color is the window sticker?

I called the number I saw in the Facebook post, whether the saleswoman was accurately stating the facts or not is up for debate but she was keen on getting me to drive to their town and put my name in for purchase.

We've been talking about it all day in the Ontario Bronco Club and one member is actually going to look at it in the next couple of hours.

I'll ask them to snap a picture of the window sticker then .

My mistake, this is Lambton Ford in Sarnia, Ontario. Looks to be right on the border of Michigan and Ontario.

Ontario has a law where they cannot charge above MSRP so I can see this actually going for sticker price + tax.

Zach, on scale of 1-10, how screwed am I on a MY21 4dr badlands, soft top, high pkg….2.7…and, I know, sasquatch…

7/23 reservation. I can deal with switching to 2.3, but if avoid if the squatch is my liability to hold me to 22

I'll spoil a few things-

- This order would have had to have had a customer name and order # attached to it to place into WBDO, even if that person was a dealership employee. This counts towards the 80/20 rule.

- The sticker will be green as it was a customer order.

Oohhhh, now I want to drive down to verify the sticker myself. Is it possible that the dealer could have priority ordered their own employees reservation?

It seems to be a small dealership so the 80/20 rule might have BIG consequences for them.
