Hello all. Wondering what setup people are doing for their pets in the bronco. I have a 4 dr badlands that already has the dog liner and is basically resistant to dog hair. Problem is it looks uncomfortable as hell and the plastic material makes my dogs slip when they’re sticking their heads out the window. Just wanted to see if anyone figured out a great way to transport dogs in the bronco?

My solution isn’t the best but seems to work ok for my 4 dogs

I keep the rear seats folded down and let the dogs have run of the back. I usually have a blanket laid down — partially for muddy feet, partially because I have a couple that occasionally get car sick, and mostly because I have one that gets so excited for car rides that she doesn’t think to use the bathroom until she explodes in the car…

First was a washout floor. I didn’t have one stock, so Armorlite to the rescue. Dog hair mostly I can just use the leaf blower and blow right out. This has probably been the single best mod of my Bronco period, dogs or otherwise.

Second was the rear seat back protectors from Mabett. This covers up the fabric back there and makes it easier to clean — can wipe up most things, and dog claws won’t hurt it. Doesn’t stop “stuff” from getting between the panels or seats though, and the texture is kind of hard to wipe up after. I use the blanket mostly to cover this up and keep stuff from slipping in the cracks

Last is a cargo floor mat. I have a Weathertec and I’m not overly impressed with this particlar brand - it wants to always slide rear-ward and doesn’t have any provision to retain the rear cargo hold downs. But it definitely contains doggy accidents well.

Between those 3 things - trips with the four dogs become possible. After having the Armorlite floor I’ll never stick my dogs in a car with carpet again.

Remove the back trim piece between the cargo area and back seat. Dakota Kennels medium crate.

The only way you should think of transporting your dogs in your Bronco is with a kennel strapped down to the luggage hooks in the back.

Killer is special.and need special treatment. This raises him to the edge of the window so he can see outside even when lying down. Note the personal fan he also has going on back there. To keep him cool.

He also has eye protection for when he sticks his dead out the window. Yeah, I have no life...

Not the only option. Dog can also be strapped in an appropriate harness and attached to a seat belt. There are several harness models that have been crash tested for larger dogs

Old dog with a doggy ADA ramp. Fits well on the factory rock rails.

I picked up one of these after one of our dogs got diagnosed with bad displaysia. Of course, she is the only dog that refuses to use it and still wants to jump in

Yeah mine is the same way. He thinks he can do anything and then gets upset when his rear legs won’t perform.

Why does your poor doggy have the "cone of shame" on? Recent surgery?
