So you have 3 on order?
How bad do you really want one? There are dealerships with stock, are sponsors of the forum and will sell them to 6G members for MSRP. So if you want one, go get one. My dealership in Texas would but they don’t have any. Here is a sponsor who has 10, y’all quit crying, support a sponsor and go get a Bronco 🤷‍♂️

I'm sure it might be covered somewhere on this forum, but how does this dealer have 10 broncos just sitting in inventory with no home? Many of them are wildtrak's and most seem to have some of the biggest sins/constraints. Fulfilled orders are trickling into dealers and I have a tough time imagining 10 customers walked from their orders at the exact same time.

What does it cost you to keep the order? Why not just keep it, but live your life like you don't have it. Then when you get the surprise call from the dealer that it's here, you can make the decision at that time if you want or are able to buy.
Exactly. This is my current plan. Given my price point with an upper level trim, the last thing I would do is cancel the order or let the dealer have it to mark up themselves.

Well I tried coming back to the brand. Was super excited about the new Bronco. Ford can't be this incompetent as a company, so I can only assume that it's my fault....It's not you Ford, It's me...

So fellow users, I want your feedback - What did I do wrong?

I placed my reservation on Oct 30, 2020. Yup, I got into what was already a long line (after some hesitation and internal debate about an f150 king ranch) at a medium-large dealer in the greater Houston area. A LOT of folks ahead of me in that line, both nationally and at the dealer (I was number 189 out of what they stated at the time was ~200 allocated vehicle slots ). I procrastinated - I had a 105 reservation number so I expected I'd be waiting...and I still am waiting...and waiting. Then, on 3/16/21 I ordered a Lux Badlands sasquatch hard top with mod steel bumper (several sins). Then I ordered the same vehicle again in October of 21. Now I'm fixing to likely have to re-order for the third time if I can stomach it.

All my family cars were aging when I started this process so I've actually had to purchase 2 new cars in the meantime. One of those vehicles, a plug-in XC90 was custom ordered, built, transported across the Atlantic, and delivered to my dealer - all in under 3 months! This was my understanding of how buying a car was supposed to go. Volvo and Audi have benefitted from Ford's Bronco timeline.

Nonsense! Tomball Ford would never do that. Tomball is an ethical dealership, and Jorge Lopez, the Bronco Specialist there, has your best interests at heart. Tomball had 25 FE orders in 21MY, and Jorge awarded himself a Priority order because he worked really hard for all of his customers. :sneaky:

Best option here is to buy one off the lot and trade it in when yours arrives. Trade in value is disgusting on these so it would probably be cheaper to do that than keep buying beaters

Yeah, that's not a good look, but I hesitated mentioning the dealer because most of my frustration isn't aimed toward them. The communication hasn't been great and I feel like they may have overstated initial allocations, but I believe they have been selling at MSRP and haven't heard of any ADM .

I do wonder if placing a later, parallel order there or at another big Houston dealer would have resulted in earlier fulfillment.[/QUOTE]

It certainly would have if you dropped some of the biggest restraints such as MIC top.

I got impatient with no news on my first week reservation(4dr/obx/mic/Sasquatch/lux/2.7) last December and ordered a second Bronco from the same dealer(Metropolitan Ford in MN) minus the MIC top and Sasquatch package. That one was delivered 123 days later in April but I still have no VIN for my 7/20/20 reservation. My adult daughter will buy the soft top from me when my original order comes in sometime next year. Ford changed the rules and you can’t fault people for changing their behavior accordingly. I have a few other friends who are driving a soft top Bronco and still waiting for the MIC top one they ordered in early 2021.

Thanks that's the type of feedback I was looking for. That's impressive turnaround on your second order. Your experience and several others on this board are hard data points that suggest constraints are still really a thing - as shocking as that can be almost two years into the production of a vehicle.

Sorry man, but I doubt there‘s that big of a market for a plug in Volvo station wagon/SUV thingy. So, yeah, in the 15 or 20 people who actually wanted one of those, less than 3 months from order to delivery sounds about right.

I kid…. sorta, but seems like every damn person in America wants a Bronco and all at the same time.

But, based on the what, Audi? And a what, Volvo? Doesn’t sound like you were getting the Bronco to actually go Broncoing, so in the end, sounds like you ended up with the cars that you actually needed instead of another impulse Bronco order, so appreciate your recognizing that and exiting the line.

Much obliged! ;)
Volvo XC90 owner here. My second ordered Bronco is now scheduled for September (first one under invoice, second at msrp) Volvo for daily, Bronco for fun. The line works fine if you're patient and order according to what all the advice given out (taken as a whole, not one or two posters' advice). Stay stubborn or rely on a small dealer offering a discount with hundreds more orders than allocations , then that line will stay long.

I don’t know why, but who cares. MSRP for 6G members…..

FORD has built well over 100K Broncos. This nonsense of commodities and allocations just doesn't fly anymore. Not for folks waiting 750+ days. Trucks that have the so-called deadly sins have been built and sold. Some to non-reservation holders. FORD's management of this is a disaster and mar on their name and reputation. FORD has been dishonest noting that reservations would be built first and after when it rolled out the allocation nonsense (which was to appease its true customers- the dealers) and told customers they could move their reservations. All lies.

FORD does not honor its reservation holders.
