After reading 53 pages of mostly bad asses, I realize I’m just a loser. Actually just a welder, but I’m hoping the 3 kids I’ve raised on my own will be able to be successful.

Welding is a very respected trade and very well payed trade here in Maine with Bath Iron Works being a big employer. I grew up in a family of steel foundry workers my brother still works in the foundry. Be proud of what you do and who you are. Besides welding is considered a artform now with some kick ass metal fabractions. Congrats on your future Bronco. Chears

My brother is a pipefitter doing mostly welding. I respect it. I am a police officer. The welder brother has a twin that is a firefighter. My mom was a teacher before becoming an elementary school principal. My dad was a pipefitter. About as blue collar, get your hands dirty family. Now ask all of us what we would like from our kids? It is honorable work but the way the game is played now it might not be enough. I tell my kids to chase their passions and hope it coincides with money. I hear you on the kids being successful. I am not saying you or I aren't in our own way but I get it.
