Ok... I ask my dealer and Ford chat.... about my updated 2021...2022...2023 order and the change in price (MSRP) price protection and my Priority code change...

First I don't like the $$$ increase but all things considered a minor thing and its not much and what could I do anyway... but my code changed from 99 (started 19) now its 16....

I haven't been scheduled yet but just wondering how the code change affects me:)

Dealers can assign PCs from 11-19 where 11 is better than 19. For example .. if 2 orders are identical in every way then an order with a PC 11 will get pulled before an order with a PC of 19.

PCs from 1-10 are reserved For Ford.

I hope that makes sense.

I had a priority code of 10.

I thought 10-19 were custom order codes.

FWIW, I had my MY 2023 conversion done Tuesday of this week. My dealer said my priority code changed from 99 to 19 to 11 and I just got my build date email this morning.

My PC is 10….. no build date either. I was told by Ford customer service to have mine changed to 10 in order to get price protection. Dealer said customer service was wrong but changed it for me anyway. I don’t f$&king know….

there is no relationship between PC and Price Protection.

That is correct, 10-19 are dealer assigned for retail orders. Only Zone Reps can lower the priority code below 10.

They represent the number on the ball in the lottery machine that ford uses to decide which order is converted to a VIN.

Example my 2 door SAS order with a priority code of 19 was converted to a VIN today. I bet there are still a LOT of code 10s without a VIN.

Priority codes also only matter within the context of your chosen dealer because if they assigned some orders a lower priority number or higher build priority (10-13 for example), and the rest at 19 or something all of the 10-13 priority coded orders would be considered for scheduling before the 19s, but a 10 at a dealer without allocation still isn't being built before one on 19 with an allocation at another dealer.

16?? That’s bad. Means you will get a 3 week delay in shipping while your Bronco is inexplicably left at a rail yard, unlocked, less than a mile away from your dealership. Hopefully the homeless don’t use it for orgies.
