@MesquiteTim here is what will happen..If Ford really has over 160k+ reservations, money/build orders will talk.
So what sense does that make for a Dealer? Wait for someone to get money together over 90 days or take money from someone willing to pay now? Just curious how that thinking goes from a business perspective.
That didn't answer any of the business aspect what sense does it make (across the board) to not take money from people willing to pay and have it to pay? And didn't someone shoot down the "Bronco Sport" as a comparison theory? Probably just more people having faith in a 'reservation' system than I doFord will not start the process of assigning VIN's until they are ready to start the builds...
Ford has no idea of how much a person has/has not put down on the order...
Ford only wants the orders in the WBDO so that they can begin the process...
Ford will not be processing the orders when they arrive in the system...
The Bronco Sport is still being processed no vin's assigned by Ford and we have been entering them since the 14th of July...
Bronco Sport was the first bite of this apple...That didn't answer any of the business aspect what sense does it make (across the board) to not take money from people willing to pay and have it to pay? And didn't someone shoot down the "Bronco Sport" as a comparison theory?
Bronco Sport was the first bite of this apple...
If you are in the car business you would understand it...
The car business is not like Walmart or the fast food market...
Is it going smoothly with the B-S, so to speak, @Granger Ford ? Are the customers and your coworkers getting a handle on the process? Or is it a big learning curve?Ford will most likely not assign reservation vin's to vehicles until they get ready for production some time in March...
So you will have a large time window to place the order and retain your spot in line...
I base this on what I am seeing with the Bronco Sport...
Our customers have a better handle on it thanks to this Forum, Jaime on the phones and myself...Is it going smoothly with the B-S, so to speak, @Granger Ford ? Are the customers and your coworkers getting a handle on the process? Or is it a big learning curve?
Is that good or bad? For Ford.@MesquiteTim
Bronco Sport number of real orders vs reservations 60% BTW..
