Was this just a one time chance for Oct 13-28th order conversions to get scheduled for production? Wonder how Ford will deal with the conversion orders now.

Ford automatically converted all non-scheduled 2021 orders to 2022 orders... but they have a priority code 99 on them which effectively makes them ineligible for scheduling.

After you've had the conversation with your dealer regarding the 2022 order, your dealer should set them to priority code 10-19, which makes them eligible for scheduling. The dealer can change the priority code at any time. But if you never have that conversation with your dealer and they never change the priority code, the order will just sit there with a 99 priority code through 2022 and eventually be converted to a 2023 order.

After the 2023 model year Ford should be caught up on the 2021 orders... so I suspect Ford will just outright cancel the order if it hasn't been scheduled yet, but I guess we'll find out when we get there.

Thanks, but what happens to the orders converted (10-19) by 2021 order holder to 2022 after today? Do they jump back to their former place in line; reservation number and other parameters? If so, the last couple of weeks of conversions were just a chance to get quick schedule.

Yeah it jumps back to its place in line determined by the reservation date, dealer allocations, part constraints, etc. etc. All the usual stuff.
