None.

once the reservations are done and they are building for dealer lots, they will act like most truck values strong but depreciating.

I'd caution against using "ROI" and car ownership. But I get what you are saying in terms of potential resale value.

Maybe base automatic 4-door in a popular color? With some larger aftermarket tires - but not too large. Many future buyers will not care much about a locker, sway bar disconnect or some of the other costlier features. It's a smaller subset of potential buyers who will care about that stuff.

4-door is like selling a 3 bedroom house, in that it will be open to a larger set of potential buyers. And you won't be asking a high price, trying to recoup all the money you spent up front. Just don't pick some funky color that doesn't age well. :)

None. Nada. All will likely be money losers over time. If you want an investment, try stocks, real estate, bonds; not new Broncos. Buy a Bronco if you like it and want to drive it.

If you want an investment, buying a new vehicle is not where you want to place your money. Everyone knows it’s the worst investment out there. But to answer your question I’d say stripped down base

I bet the Bronco will ha e a very strong resale value like the Wrangler does, but wouldn’t buy one as an investment. However I would think Badlands would retain its value the most. Like the Rubicon does

Even under the most rosy predictions, the ROI will be negative, especially once you consider the opportunity cost. If you spend $70k new FE, all in with taxes, it will need to appreciate at $7k per year just to maintain with an average stock market return. Even classic cars that do appreciate will almost never even come close to the returns on real investments, especially once you add in insruance, storage and maintenance costs.

New: Badlands 4 door or Wildtrak 4 door. Everyone knows the 4 door Jeep outsells the 2.

But if you want a ROI you need to buy a classic. They are going up in value.

Or buy a FJ Cruiser. They stopped importing them in 2015 and it'll still cost you over $30K for a low'ish mileage one.

The highest trim level you can possibly get with the 2.3L/manual and options nobody in their right mind would go for. Also look for a color and interior combination that is very unpopular and is likely to sell poorly and be cancelled next year.

OP is looking for the “least worst” investment. All configs will lose money...which will lose the least? Most likely a Base, as some have said. But, 2-door is already discounted versus the 4-door....so maybe it loses less actual cash?

Are you planning to immediately flip your reservation after delivery? Assuming that there will be market demand and "market adjustments" on broncos when dealers do have inventory? I don't remember exact numbers but I believe early ordered C8 corvettes selling used for more then MSRP. At the expected numbers for the Bronco I don't think this is guaranteed to happen not to say it wont. Although the Warthog may have a better chance of that.

I’m no financial wizard but purchasing a new vehicle as investment is actually a horrible investment I don’t care what trim you get this thing going to depreciate a lot once you leave the dealership
