The person, probably dude, was going to put a raptor build in for someone who paid them a fee using an unfulfilled 2020 reservation. I think they wanted 5k.

A reservation can't be sold. It can only be transferred to immediate household family. Even then, I don't know if anyone has had success doing so.

Now, if people want to sell their vehicle after they have taken delivery, there is the community marketplace. Though I would think there are other marketplaces with greater visibility.

The other aspect of trying to sell a vehicle before it is yours is the fact that it never is "yours" until you pay money. It belongs to the dealer and they are not obligated to sell especially if they are aware of the buyer attempting to enter into an agreement with another buyer for a vehicle they don't own.

It was a good read. The OP was adamant he was being a good person and saving a potential buyer money. Not sure how, but he seemed to think selling potential was worth 5-10k profit for him.

Now if he went ahead, ordered and bought the raptor and resold at MSRP + tax he’d be a model, instead he’s anything but.
