Multiple issues with the driver’s side door window not adjusting on open and close. It started and was identified by the dealer. Then at warranty appt, seemed to fix itself. Now not working again! Dealer seemed to know about the issue. Anyone else having the problem?

My windows will sometimes index up, then back down, if I start the engine with that door open. I haven't had any windows straight up refuse to index back down though. One time the "closed" position on a window set itself to halfway down, but restarting the vehicle fixed it.

Search forum for "window reset" for reset procedure (roll window down and up, holding button for 5sec too long each way).

There is also a software update for the driver door module and passenger door module that could be worth trying (dealer or someone with FDRS tool can easily update the modules).

I've tried doing this to fix my driver's window doing the "pinch detection" rolldown but the service manual's wording is vague.

"Roll window up. Hold button for 5 seconds"
Am I pulling the switch to the first detent (manual), or second (auto)? Am I releasing the button and re-pulling for that 5 seconds? Ditto rolling down -- is it expecting a single long press+hold from rolled up, or a separate action once it's all the way down? How far do I press the button?

I've tried every combination I could think of, there's still a 50/50 chance it bounces back

Hello! Could you privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer so I can look into this window concern? Thank you!

I have a similar thing going on with the passenger side front window. The window does not drop down when opening the door. This causes the window to get stuck on the weather stripping. Once the door is open the window will drop. I tried the reset procedure twice to no avail. I am planning on bringing it to the dealer to see if they have some way of correcting this.

Having the same issue on drivers side. Reset doesn't seem to work. Anyone get this resolved?

Underneath the actual door itself there are two bolts that let you adjust the window's track in or out if I'm not mistaken. I wonder if the window is just "out" too much and needs to get pulled in.

There's a youtube video somewhere showing how to adjust this.
