I understand it is completely different. What i am not understanding is the purpose of it. Is it to cycle all the windows to keep them from getting stuck due to non use?Yes, all broncos lower the window when you open the door, so will 25MY.
This is completely different.
It just helps drop the window sooner before opening the door. Lots of people have problems with the window not dropping fast enough and catching on the upper seal.I understand it is completely different. What i am not understanding is the purpose of it. It should’ve always dropped the window when pulling the handle. If it didn’t before, something was definitely wrong.Well, I'm pretty sure the software update last night brought back the small window nudge on exterior door hanfle pull. However, it also seems that my drivers window is now often open a hair while I'm driving and needs a very short button press to fully close. I'll try the window reset procedure.
This is truly absurd...
Not surprising. I wouldn’t expect Ford customer service to know every feature of every vehicle. It’s even hard for dealers to keep up with all the changes. Especially with the limited information that Ford actually releases about this stuff.I called Ford when the 11-26-2024 software update took this function away, they're response was we don't know what you're talking about......
Pretty sure that’s not possibleI wonder if this something that can changed with forscan? My bronco has never done this and now my driver window is hanging…never had a problem on the mustang…
Shhhh. The 2dorks are a bit “special.” Just nod and walk out of the room like the rest of us do.Very happy with the 4 doors. Love seeing the rare 2 doors as well. Hatred and mockery of one or the other is just silly- I know people claim it’s all in good fun, but… I think that’s a dumb form of fun. To those who disagree: Go make more friends. Be more positive than negative.
In law, ignorantia juris non excusat (Latin for "ignorance of the law excuses not"),[1] or ignorantia legis neminem excusat ("ignorance of law excuses no one"),[2] is a legal principle holding that a person who is unaware of a law may not escape liability for violating that law merely by being unaware of its content. Not surprising. I’m sure some people at Ford (the ones that actually need to) know the specifics of this feature.
In short, just because Ford is stupid does not excuse them for not knowing their products
lol yet you continue the discussion by trying to make a funny insultJust nod and walk out of the room like the rest of us do.
I’m sure we won’t ever know what exactly changed to make it work correctly. But they claimed the programming in the previous models caused issues with the window calibration/initialization.This is interesting that they are keeping it locked to the '25 models. Wonder what the physical difference is that is the reason - is there a new window motor or a new door module or something?
(I'm being intentionally generous and assuming Ford has some physical reason they couldn't do it on previous models other than wanting people to buy 2025s since this is just a small QOL change)
On a side note - while this is a nice stop gap, it's still a far cry from actually fixing these frameless windows that are fairly embarrassing in function.
