what charger did you use? I will look at the possibility of using the 12v charging port in the center console and running to and attaching in the empty panel where the Ford wireless charger would normally go.

I hear bad wireless chargers are common across most auto manufacturers. My mom has one in a Cadillac that’s fantastic, but the one in my Tacoma is awful.

I don’t even bother using it because the phone (iPhone 12 Pro) gets extremely hot and doesn’t really charge.

Would be interesting to splice some wires and replace the factory unit with something like this.

Just hot glue a wireless pad in there off Amazon that’s what I plan to do. It’ll just peel right off if need be. Or heck even better some double sided 3m tape.

I think we should be able to wire a garage door opener to one of the Aux switches. Not sure how to get but it's on my to do list once my Bronco arrives.
That's a waste of an AUX switch, IMHO - not to mention it's probably hard to get those latching switches to work in a momentary fashion like those on a garage door opener.

Why not just get a homelink/ autodimming mirror and wire it into switched ignition 12V+ instead? It's what I'm doing to get two features inexplicably restricted to mid/ lux packages into my manual Big Bend...

That’s what I used 3m hook tape. I was impressed the charger wld work through the rubber mat and phone case.

$40-60 on eBay and a couple hours of your time spent connecting it to power, and you can have it once again in your Bronco.
