Wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Will start charging the phone. Phone gets super hot. Within 2 minutes phone overheats and stops charging. Tried this with both an iphone 13 and a Galaxy Note 10. Tried taking them out of their cases. Same result.

How does Ford get away with selling this garbage to customers? Was a big part of the reason I went with the lux package over the high package. Not only is the pad unusable but I can't even put my phone there now as a storage space because it will overheat even if it's not actively charging.

Same here. I though the heat was from the phone working the apple car play.

I don’t know anything about this but was just assuming. Mine has ever shut off or stoped charging. Apple car play works great. iPhone 13

Yes. My iPhone overheated super fast- probably less than a minute after being on the charging pad. Not due to using CarPlay because I use it all the time in this vehicle and in others without issue.

I can't put into words how pissed I was when I figured out I couldn't use the wireless charger. Though it was my phone. So y'all are telling me that it's all phone? WHAT THE CRAP, FORD!!
