Pre Collision Assist AEB doesn't work when you need it.

You have radar if you have the sensors in the round things on the bumper. The big module is behind that plastic screeny looking thingy.

The round things are very short range sensors for parking assist.

The "big module" is used by the ACC and likely millimeter wave radar better suited to longer distances and higher speeds. Not sure if pre collision assist/AEB will use this sensor in addition to the windshield camera or not.

I don’t know if it auto brakes but it definitely reduces stopping distance. I had someone cut me off and it triggered some beeping and I stopped HARD.

Sorry it didn’t help with her situation - I’ve had it trigger a warning a few times when the road curves but the markings weren’t great.

Not sure if pre collision assist/AEB will use this sensor in addition to the windshield camera or not.

It does use input from the CCM if equipped for additional information.

Saying that, I will admit I don't remember if that was this system or the one for BMW, but what I do know is that if you have the round thingies, you've got the radar, but not sure if it works the other way around, so if you say it does, I believe you.

So she was not looking ahead

(2) Bronco does not stop like a "normal" vehicle

So she didn't allow herself enough room

She's not a bad person - could've be any one of us, but she's at fault.

You get front parking aid sensors without ACC if you have the high package.

When I was 16-18 years old i crashed everything i drove. Seriously…..i was an idiot. My parents fixed the first two…..then said buy your own car to wreck. I did…..and I did. Drove way to fast everywhere I went. Cops noticed too and within a couple of years I went without a license for 3 months. Riding a bike to your girlfriends house sucks….

Every Bronco has Pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking.

Do the manuals have the braking as well? Started wondering if because I have a manual that is why it didn’t apply the brakes for me. Would need to have the clutch also be controlled electronically to make it all work?

the 7MT vehicles have AEB. perfectly acceptable to stall the engine when the AEB kicks in.

That's all correct. I am amazed though at how many people here can keep their eye on the road and check their surroundings at the same time. What is the technique? Independently moving eyes? Mirrors?
