That's a month before reservations opened??
Apologies, first day reservation and using Ford's current anticipated date of delivery, which has already been pushed back three times.

Using real dates and hope, it will be 930 days on the dot.

(This is with a basic, no-option order that I had been given a MY21 allocation for, has had no resource constraints, no order changes except paint color or at any time been 99'd)

Iā€™d strongly prefer dents in my door to those moldings.
Letā€™s not insult people that like this option. Iā€™m sure that there are members on this site that donā€™t like things about your bronco. . Thatā€™s not why I put this post up.

I have a dent on bottom rear corner where I dropped it. Adds more character than those door protectors lol.

Ford is so messed up here. I cant understand why anyone who ordered from the beginning should still be waiting. I ordered my 2dr BD mid 2.3 auto on 12/28/21 was built 4/11/22 and took delivery 8/5.

If specifically looking for anti door dings, can also be achieved with side steps, with the advantage of reducing rock chips on door.
Not when a jacked up truck parks next to you...

I would imagine someone who spends the money on jacking up their truck enought to reach the bronco would be conscientious about door dings as well. If the concern is enough to mount door protection, maybe find a less populated parking spot? Or don't use parking lots, if there's space in grass nearby? Could take up 2 spots like any afterbirth driver would do. For ultimate door dings protection, could also just keep it in the garage 24/7.

To each their own. But that door protection serves literally only 1 very specific purpose in my opinion - preventing dings from other drivers. Also my opinion that it's a waste of money.

I guess what I'm trying to put out there, is it seems frivolous to want door protection in that form. If the goal is to protect the doors, you need mud flaps and side steps for rock chips because of the way the door has been engineered. So if you have side steps, you have some door ding protection from +90% of other vehicles in the parking lot. That caliber of redundancy is for aviation lol
