I got a quote for a 4 door and it was $5000 gloss and $7500 stealth. He said that the stealth is more labor intensive because it has to cover everything, but shouldn't the gloss do that too?

It's the seams, most likely. Gloss seams can show because you can't actually see much difference in the finish, but with matte the seams are much more apparent. Also, I am pretty sure the gloss material is cheaper, but I'm not 100% sure.

I did Xpel on my Vette and highly recommend…as one of the others posted it’s not cheap…. Whenever I receive my Bronco I will do half of the hood and equivalent front fender and lower doors / rocker panels.

Badlands, Iconic Silver, 2.7, Leather, Lux, SAS, Tow…..

Wonder what the “wear and tear” kit covers. Looks like behind the door handles and maybe door sills?
Yeah site is super not helpful in that regard perhaps @XPEL can enlighten us.

I wonder what kind of discount the dealers get. I was quoted $5000 and that doesn't leave much room for labor at those prices.

Bay Area CA quote was:
“Bronco Xpel Stealth matte film whole wrap $3600”

Since I have an AMB color, I opted not to wrap. Also, 3600 is still a lot of dough, though better than prices I’ve other floating around.

That's cheaper than anything I could find in the Seattle area. I was quoted $5500 for Stealth and $5000 for gloss. I called 5 shops. I watched this DIY video and it looks terrible. I think that I'll just pay to get it installed.

Any of you all that have done your CGs in matte, care to post some photos? Does it make it look more green or gray that previously?

Should be getting my CG in the next month to month and a half and I definitely want to wrap it shortly after arrival.

mine will be carbonized gray metallic. does "metallic" mean metal flake? I like the flat old school look but would not want to lose the "metal flake".

Metallic does mean metal flake. The flake still shimmers under a matte PPF, it's just more subdued and blended. It's a cool effect, IMO.

thanks. if I spend big bucks on a wrap, I don't want it to look like less. had a new '78 black trans am. had a definite gold flake until I waxed a few times (I'd bet most fans of the car don't know that). My last new car. I want what I want.
