.....seeing Rivian trucks on the road during my commute 5 to 1! I am in SoCal so I see a lot of cars, naturally. No Broncos, 3 Rivians. They have to be loaded with chips and options. Come on @Fordmotorcompany !!! rant over (for now)

But their chips do not have to control fuel injectors, oil pressure monitors, certainly no ECM since there is no E (engine) but e (electric motors)

I didn't even realize they were producing Rivians yet, have yet to see one.

They're making like 50 a week. I haven't seen one, but a coworker spotted one on a road trip the other day though. They're definitely out there in pretty limited numbers

I've seen a Rivian 3 times so far and 2 Broncos (outside of Ford dealers) out and about. Not driving much right now except in my town.

I have seen 2 rivians, I see multiple broncos every day, I saw 4 or 5 on my 30 minute commute through Palm desert and Indian Wells the other day. One of the golf members at my work has a 4 door black diamond.

Exactly! That was the first dealership we walked into and almost decided against the Bronco all together because we assumed (I know) they were marked up everywhere. Then we got smart!

Similarly, I was looking at a Model 3 the other day. It boggles my mind that an established manufacturer like Ford cannot even give me an estimated build date for my October 2020 reservation (long since converted to order) and yet a relatively young company like Tesla can deliver a Model 3 within 2 months...

My wife ordered a Tesla model 3 last April and received it exactly in 11 weeks. Right on the estimated date when she she place her order, we live in Ohio.

I agree- I thought all the Pre-production variants seen out and around are employee vehicles. Didn't think mass production started yet.

I've never seen a Rivian on the road (or in person - anywhere), and I've only seen maybe 3 or 4 Broncos on the road, total - I live in Sacramento.
