Your first Bronco, or repeat offender?

First time owner for me, and I dont think I have ever wanted to own a vehicle as much as I want to own a Bronco.

Honestly, the only Bronco I've ever liked is the first one, so thank goodness Ford went in the proper direction. Never have been a pickup truck or F-150 guy; white collar job so I don't work hard like real men who need pickups.

Just like to camp, wheel, drank, listen to rock, watch my Crimson Tide and smoke grass.... Yes, usually all in the same damn day.

This will be my 3rd. Had a baby blue '79 from the late 80s to early 90s. This is my current '79 - It's an older photo from the day it was delivered. The hard top is in storage and I'm running a Softopper soft top these days.

In 1999, my folks helped me buy my first rig when I graduated high school. It was a 1986 Bronco II. It was a base trim level with the 2.9L and 5 speed manual transmission. No power windows, locks or air conditioning. It was black and had a bright red interior. I liked it well enough even though the 2.9L leaked oil from every gasketed surface and it got 13mpg on a good day.

Current owner = 1984 Bronco II, 1996 Bronco XLT (built 2 weeks before the end of production), 1988 Bronco XLT (smashed midship by a tree in Hurricane Sandy, donor to save my 88 F-150...)

Technically first, but my parents had an '85 when I was a kid and my husband had a '93 for a few years. New one is gonna look good next to my '61 Ranchero in the driveway

Did you own an older model? Or its smaller sibling the Bronco II?
I had a 1990 Bronco II in high school, it was probably my favorite vehicle I ever owned. Can't ever find another one in decent condition. Image isnt mine, but it looks just like mine did.

This will be my first and culmination of a life-long dream.
