Bronco Warthog Engine Sound Captured in Sighting

I spotted a Warthog prototype turning onto Rotunda Dr. near the product development plant today. Before anyone comments on this post saying how bad the video is...I know, I had a split second to get out my phone and take a picture, I literally had to convert a “Live Photo” to video.

This video doesn’t give much besides some intel regarding what the engine may or may not sound like. Not sure if we’re getting a V-8 or a Raptor-esque HO Ecoboost, you tell me.

Sounds like the 3.5 ecoboost to me but really hard to tell. Sounds like they were gettin on it lol

That’s exactly what I was thinking! Had I seen it sooner, I could have gotten a far better video.

Nice! Definitely not a V8.

I don’t have to hear it to tell you it’s not a V8 lol.

Definitely a 6 cylinder. I recognize that blender sound.

If that is the 3.5 I might even replace my Raptor. A 2 door long wheel base Warthog with that engine would rock my world. A larger intercooler and a Cobb stage 2 custom tune, that thing would fly.

A V8 would be nice (for the people that ONLY care about engine size and not specs) however, people highly underestimate the 3.5 HO. It’s a beast. Just look at the Raptor.

Great find. No worries on the video quality/length. I am happy to see anything at this point.

Ford doesn't have an NA v8 that interests me. The 3.0 or 3.5HO do

That 3.5 can be tuned way up the HP curve.
